Jennifer Hanson - Graduate Research Assistant Atmospheric Science

Jennifer's current research focus is subsurface temperatures and load restriction modeling. The research goals of this project are to develop a more accurate method for the North Dakota Department of Transportation (NDDOT) to utilize in determining the placement of spring load restrictions. Previous research efforts include work on the Piping Plover with the North Dakota Fisheries and Wildlife Association, the Raytheon Airplane Project, and Local Analysis and Prediction System (LAPS) Sensitivity Analyses. Jennifer graduated from the University of North Dakota with a B.S. in Atmospheric Sciences in 2002. She is currently working toward her M.S. in Atmospheric Sciences. In addition, Jennifer joined the staff of the Regional Weather Information Center as undergraduate research assistant in May 2000.
