The University of North Dakota Surface Transportation Weather Research Center
hosted the first National Workshop on Surface Transportation Weather on August 11-12, 2004,
at the University of North Dakota campus in Grand Forks. The primary goal of the workshop
was to facilitate an open dialogue between transportation and weather professionals,
and to address current and future operational issues. Nearly 100 individuals, including several people
via webcast teleconferencing, participated in the workshop and represented a wide
spectrum fromt eh public, private and academic sectors.
Video archives of the presentations are available, as well
as Powerpoint files for most of the presentations. There are
links on the schedule to both video archives of presentations and
Powerpoint files.
